Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Spokane, WA)

Ironwood Granite Insurance is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about claims into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Spokane, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
