Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Spokane, WA)

Nova Amber Early Learning runs childcare centres in Spokane caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 196 people based in Spokane. What you will do • Turn requests about tuition and subsidies into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with tuition and subsidies. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Spokane. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
