Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Seattle, WA)

Greenridge North Insurance is an insurance company in Seattle with claims and service teams. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Seattle. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about claims into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Seattle, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
