Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Seattle, WA)

Fernwood Thistle Water Authority is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for capital projects, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about capital projects into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with capital projects. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Seattle. • We reply to every applicant.
