Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Savannah, GA)

Redstone Wren Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Savannah. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about ridership counts into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with ridership counts. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Savannah. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
