Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (San Jose, CA)

Bright North Learning Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for enrolment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about enrolment into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with enrolment. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
