Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (San Jose, CA)

Summit Bright Early Learning is an early-learning provider in San Jose. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 107 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about meal programmes into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with meal programmes. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
