Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (San Jose, CA)

Clearpath Cross Transit Planning Group helps transport agencies around San Jose design routes and schedules. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about accessibility audits into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with accessibility audits. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
