Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (San Jose, CA)

We are growing our team at Cedar Timber Insurance and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Turn requests about claims into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
