Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (San Diego, CA)

Lumen Clear Telecom is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for outage reports, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about outage reports into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with outage reports. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
