Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (San Diego, CA)

Summit Ridge Learning Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for school calendars, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 207 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about school calendars into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with school calendars. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
