Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (San Antonio, TX)

Bright Wilder Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in San Antonio, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 177 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with premium billing. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in San Antonio. • We reply to every applicant.
