Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Salt Lake City, UT)

Nova River Water Authority Group supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Salt Lake City and nearby communities, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Turn requests about pipe repairs into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with pipe repairs. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
