Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Salt Lake City, UT)

Nova Ashton Telecom is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for customer tickets, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about customer tickets into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with customer tickets. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Salt Lake City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
