Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Sacramento, CA)

Bluepeak Harbor Transit Planning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for route schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about route schedules into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with route schedules.
