Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Sacramento, CA)

Stonegate Mill Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Sacramento. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 25 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about family communication into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with family communication. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
