Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Sacramento, CA)

Cedar Vista Financial Group serves customers across Sacramento with accounts, loans and payments. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about loan applications into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with loan applications. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
