Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Richmond, VA)

Bluepeak Vale Community Partners is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for food distribution, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about food distribution into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with food distribution. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
