Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Richmond, VA)

Summit Pine Community Partners is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for benefits enrolment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with benefits enrolment. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
