Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Reno, NV)

Westbrook Mill Transit Planning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for survey data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 862 people based in Reno. What you will do • Turn requests about survey data into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with survey data. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
