Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Reno, NV)

Northwind Birch Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Reno. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of about 346 people based in Reno. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about licensing into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with licensing. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Reno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
