Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Redstone Vale Water Authority Partners is a public water utility serving the Providence area. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about billing accounts into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Providence. • We reply to every applicant.
