Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Cedar Corner Early Learning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for licensing records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about licensing records into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with licensing records. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Providence. • We reply to every applicant.
