Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

We are growing our team at Lumen Orchard Health Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about insurance authorisations into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with insurance authorisations. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
