Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Summit Water Authority and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about treatment plant data into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with treatment plant data. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Louisville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
