Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

We are growing our team at Redstone Sable Community Partners and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of about 377 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about volunteer shifts into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer shifts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
