Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Cedar Facilities and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. Bilingual teams are common. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with safety inspections. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Cincinnati. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
