Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

We are growing our team at Redstone Lantern Learning Group Associates and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about family communication into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with family communication. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
