Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Ironwood Summit Early Learning runs childcare centres in Portland caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about tuition and subsidies into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with tuition and subsidies. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Portland. • We reply to every applicant.
