Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Umber Legal Group and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 53 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with trust accounts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
