Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Lumen Telecom is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for network equipment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about network equipment into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with network equipment. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
