Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Westbrook Pine Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Louisville. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Turn requests about pipe repairs into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with pipe repairs. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Louisville. • We reply to every applicant.
