Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Quill Facilities and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about safety inspections into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with safety inspections. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
