Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Cedar Meridian Legal Group is a law firm in Kansas City serving businesses and individuals, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of about 259 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Turn requests about client files into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with client files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Kansas City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
