Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Amberfield Corner Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Charlotte, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about claims into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Charlotte. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
