Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Amberfield Quill Inspection Services is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for client sites, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with client sites. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
