Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Stonegate Willow Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in St. Louis. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of about 904 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about customer complaints into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with customer complaints. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in St. Louis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
