Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Westbrook Thistle Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Baltimore, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with meal programmes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Baltimore. • We reply to every applicant.
