Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Westbrook Technologies is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for referrals, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We are busy and kind, and we look after each other. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about referrals into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with referrals. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
