Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Cedar Field Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Houston. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about classroom supplies into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with classroom supplies. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Houston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
