Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Bluepeak Vista Community Partners Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for volunteer shifts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about volunteer shifts into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer shifts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Omaha. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
