Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Harborlight Bright Water Authority Group is a public water utility serving the Seattle area. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 47 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about billing accounts into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Seattle. • We reply to every applicant.
