Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Lumen Thistle Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Grand Rapids. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Grand Rapids. • We reply to every applicant.
