Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Amberfield Orchard Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Boston area. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about outage reports into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with outage reports. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Boston. • We reply to every applicant.
