Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Lumen Harbor Transit Planning Group plans bus and rail service for cities around Minneapolis, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about service alerts into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with service alerts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Minneapolis. • We reply to every applicant.
