Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Umber Telecom and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about outage reports into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with outage reports. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Boston. • We reply to every applicant.
