Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Nova Meadow Financial is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for loan applications, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about loan applications into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with loan applications. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
