Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Summit Union Legal Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for client files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 805 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about client files into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with client files. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Cincinnati. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
