Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Bright Fern Care Services is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for licensing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We train and promote from within. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about licensing into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with licensing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Kansas City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
