Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Highbridge Wilder Early Learning Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for tuition and subsidies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with tuition and subsidies. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
